“The LL.M. specializing in Law and Business Ethics gave me access to outstanding academic programming and a network for employment opportunities. These resources were here for me as a student and remain a resource now that I am part of the LL.M. Alumni. It is a great feeling to have studied with faculty who are developing and testing new practices around codes of conduct, ethics and integrity programs. The research happening here, especially through the Chair of Excellence in Law and Business Ethics—exposed me to law professors, practicing lawyers, corporate officers and policy makers from international organizations based in Paris. How did this education and network serve me for my transition into the work force? My classmates and I have found rewarding jobs that interest us and challenge us. We are keeping up with each other, and as our network of LL.M. Alumni is truly global, this network offers me global opportunities.”

“The experience I had at the University of Cergy-Pontoise earning an LL.M. meant a great deal to me. It was an enjoyable experience learning about the application of law in a Civil Law country and the European Union and, in general, law itself. It was a great opportunity to meet other law students from all over the world that were open to expressing their points of view."

"The LL.M. in Business and Taxation Law at UCP was a unique opportunity to study with colleagues from all over the world, sharing experiences in a friendly academic environment. The knowledge of French and European Union Law I gained from the LLM has also increased exponentially my understanding of my own legal system."

Lawyers, business and political leaders and professionals who wish to advance their career opportunities in the International arena recognize the essential need for training in Anglo-American Law. UCP has designed the Anglo-American Law Program with this global objective in mind.
The Anglo-American Law Program is built upon both a theoretical and practical law experience. Law Professors include both academically trained professors and experienced attorneys from a variety of fields and from different countries. Those UCP Law Professors who have practiced law bring practical courtroom knowledge and attorney experience into the classroom. This provides UCP students the opportunity to learn how to think like a lawyer and practice being a lawyer in a classroom/courtroom setting. This feature of legal education is an especially interesting and beneficial experience to law students who attend UCP School of Law.
The Anglo-American Law Program at UCP is offered in English, which reinforces the English language skills of our students within the context of Anglo-American legal terminology and practice. This gives our students an in-depth understanding of the Anglo-American legal profession in preparation for legal careers in International Law Firms. This also provides educational opportunities to international students from around the world who speak English and who desire to obtain a legal education in France. In addition, the program offers courses to students at the Licence, Master 1 and Master 2 levels. This gives a rich and comprehensive legal training experience to the legal student, regardless of educational level. At UCP School of Law, we are training attorneys for the practice of law anywhere in the world, and providing legal knowledge for professional and business careers around the globe.”

"I am a Dominican lawyer. Also, currently I am part of the LLM Program at the Université de Cergy-Pontoise. So far it has been a great experience both personally and professionally. I am focusing on Taxation Law, what I most like about the program is that it challenges you to think in a pragmatic manner, it also stretches the boundaries of your legal skills and abilities. A part from the courses I am taking, I have been privileged with getting the opportunity to teach Contract and Company Law to french law students. Preparing the material for each class has further enhanced my
confidence as a lawyer. It has provided me with an unforgettable experience of sharing my legal points of view with the students, but also getting to know each student's way of reasoning. The university is located close to Paris which has enabled me to to experience live in this great city. I would definitely recommend this program because it provides you with an in depth analysis of both French and European law."
"I decided to apply to the LL.M. program at Universite de Cergy-Pontoise after reviewing many LL.M. programs throughout Europe. I was searching for a program which provided a balance between academics and making the most of a new cultural experience. The LL.M. program at Cergy-Pontise accomplishes this. In addition to being able to concentrate my courses in both international business and tax law, I have been able to take French language and legal French courses. This has added a practical component to my academic experience which will benefit me in years to come. At the end of day, I feel I am walking away with not just another piece of paper, but with skills which make me more accomplished in my field."
